Pedal Power, the all-ability cycling service based at Alyn Waters Country Park, Wrexham raised over £2,500 at their Christmas Bazaar held on November 28th, 2023, at The Courtyard, Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate by the kind permission of the Duke of Westminster. The charity relies on fundraising to support the day to day running of the service.
On arrival guests were greeted with a glass of fizz and Pedal Power Trustee, Nigel Reader entertained everyone singing many Christmas favourites. A wonderfully festive inspired grazing table was supplied by Caffi Cyfle in Wrexham and fantastic Christmas shopping was available from a range of local retailers.
Helen Wright, Chair of Pedal Power commented.
“Thank you to everyone for making the effort to support Pedal Power and join us at this fabulous location to raise funds for this important service. We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of cycling, regardless of age or ability, and the community support at events such as these help us continue to offer our services and ensure that the future of cycling includes everyone.”
“Thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who kindly donated prizes and gifts; thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the evening such a success; and thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and donated, Pedal Power is very grateful for the difference you’ve made.”
