Welsh Charities Week returns this year, from 25–29 November 2024, shining a spotlight on the incredible work of charities, social enterprises, community groups, and volunteers across Wales. This week-long celebration is a time to recognise the vital contributions these charities and voluntary organisations make in the lives of individuals and communities.

This Welsh Charities Week we are asking for you to show your support for Cycling 4 All. Cycling 4 All, provides a unique all ability cycling service (Pedal Power) that offers opportunities for people of all abilities, ensuring that cycling is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Based at Alyn Waters Country Park in Wrexham, Cycling 4 All offers a wide range of bikes and trikes, including hand-cycles, wheelchair bikes, side-by-side bikes, and other specialist equipment.

In a year where many are feeling the financial strain, the theme of Welsh Charities Week reminds us that support doesn’t always have to come in the form of money. Cycling 4 All invites the public to consider donating time or resources—whether it’s offering your time as a volunteer, donating equipment, or helping raise funds for much-needed projects. The charity also welcomes items that can be used as prizes for fundraising events, making it easier for people to give in meaningful ways that suit their circumstances.

As Cycling 4 All continues to make cycling accessible to all, its work highlights the broader impact of Wales’ vibrant charity sector. Charities like Cycling 4 All are a lifeline for individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or other barriers, giving them the opportunity to experience the freedom of cycling and achieve personal milestones. Whether it’s getting outdoors, enjoying physical activity, or simply having fun with family and friends, Cycling 4 All is helping to improve the lives of many people across the local area.

WCVA (Wales Council for Voluntary Action), the organiser of Welsh Charities Week, encourages everyone to get involved by supporting their local charities and voluntary organisations. The simple act of donating, volunteering, or sharing your skills can make a significant difference in someone’s life.
