Pedal Power, all ability cycling service based at Alyn Waters Country Park is pleased to announce that the service is expanding with 2 exciting additions to the service.

From Thursday 18th May the service will open every Thursday until Autumn 2023. Pedal Power had been available just 2 days a week, opening every Wednesday and Friday, but from mid-May an additional day is added to the calendar.

The service is hoping that Thursday can be mostly set aside for group rides and are encouraging groups such as colleges, schools, care homes, independent living groups and health groups will visit the service and book a group ride.

Pedal Power is ideal for group rides as the service has a fleet of specialist and standard bikes suitable for a wide range of abilities and there is a mostly flat traffic free cycle path around the park.

Group rides should be booked by calling Pedal Power directly on 07908 325 508 or emailing alex.foden@cycling4all.org.

Thanks to funding from Comic Relief and starting from Saturday 27th May Pedal Power will open on Saturday mornings for learn to ride sessions.

There are 2 learn to ride sessions 10am – 11am and 11am to 12 pm and the sessions are open to all ages.  Learners should bring their own bike and helmet if you have them or Pedal Power will have them available for use if required.

It’s a great opportunity for Parents/careers to learn how to support their child to learn to ride and they are asked to stay during the session and wear suitable footwear as there will be plenty of running around!

Booking is essential by contacting Groundwork North Wales on  01978 757524/info@groundworknorthwales.org.uk
