Cycling 4 All, the Wrexham-based charity dedicated to inclusive cycling experiences, has announced its upcoming “Pedal Power Parade” during Bike Week 2024 (June 10th – 16th) at Alyn Waters Country Park, made possible by generous funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The Pedal Power Parade will transform Alyn Waters into a vibrant showcase of decorated bikes, crafted by local community groups, charities, schools, and businesses. This innovative event aims to unite the community in wellbeing and promoting environmental sustainability and sustainable transport. Participants and visitors alike will explore the park, discovering the creativity of the bikes while promoting active lifestyles and connecting with the local community.

Hanna Clarke, Project Lead for the Pedal Power Parade, shared her enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to witness the community’s creativity in transforming bikes that would have otherwise ended up in landfill into art pieces. This parade is more than just a display; it’s a statement promoting reuse and sustainability, encouraging everyone to enjoy the outdoors and adopt active lifestyles.”

Local groups and businesses are invited to partake in this unique opportunity, showcasing their artistic flair while championing the message of sustainability. Participation is free, with businesses also having the option to support Cycling 4 All through charitable donations.

In addition to bike decoration, community workshops will be hosted at various locations, allowing everyone to contribute to this exciting event:
